Hahaha. You're pretty handy: is it possible to just have a switch to take one amp from Yeti to Chuppa spec?

@FourT6and2 nice man. Your bedroom video with the VH4 and the LP still haunts me to this day. that was a tone to die for.

I don't think so. It would be REALLY complicated. The differences aren't many, but they are in spots in the circuit that would require more hassle than it's worth. The caps/resistors on the bright switches are different. That would require additional switching to switch over the switches lol. The caps/resistors on V1/V2 cathodes are different. The presence cap is different. And I think there's something else I'm forgetting. All in all, not hard to modify one to the other. Maybe an hour or so. But to make it all switchable? That's outta my league.

Oh hey, thanks! The VH4 is a cool amp, but a little too compressed for where my tastes have gone.

It's hard to decide which of these two I like more. The Yeti is much tighter. More modern. But smoother. Not as aggressive. The Chupa is raw and snarly and mean. But it's loose as hell. And a little too fizzy on the top end. But... I need to plug it into my other cab with Greenbacks or G12-65s. That might help. If I could have an amp with the best of the two, that'd be awesome. The tightness and low-end of the Yeti with the upper-mid snarl and growl of the Chupa. I might wind up modding one of them.

Don't you just love finding a brand that works for you? Where several models, not just one, light your candle? Enjoy your illness.

Absolutely. Peters is the same way. Every model I've tried has been fantastic.

Awesome sickness to have (I've got it too) unless it puts us in the poorhouse
I think the G12-65s may take away that fizz if not just crank it more and that should do it lol.
I just got 4 early 80's G12-65s from racerxrated last week and threw them in a good straight 4x12 and it took the fizz out of my SLO at lower volumes, pretty amazing really. It's actually playable now at low volumes.

Yeah the 65s have a sort of violin/piano-like tone. I had this Chupacabra a few years ago. Bought it used. Then sold it (wished I hadn't). That guy sold it to someone else, then bought it back, then sold it back to me lol. But when I had it, that Bogner cab was loaded with Greenbacks. And it sounded great. I have V30s in there now and it's too fizzy. The V30s sound great with the Yeti though. So I'm gonna try it with my other cab with 65s. But I'm probably gonna wind up replacing them with GBs. The 65s are a little too "round" if you know what I mean? You really have to get them cooking hard to get aggression out of them. Which is great if you're playing in a band, but I don't at the moment. So I can't really crank my amps too loud.

You're normal dude. About the only thing I see wrong here is you need a few more cabs. I recommend 3 more 4x12's and run in full stack mode for a while...then by 2 more heads and run a 4 half stacks config! :)

seriously, good stuff there!

 get one more cab and a lehle little dual a/b/y and rock dem bitches in stereo

I think you need more amps, 2 is a good start. But you need to at least double that...

Ha! Ok, well in addition to the Yeti and Chupa, I have a Peters GNL, Peters Hydra, and SLO Clone

I know exactly what's wrong with you. You get a new amp and post a picture of new amp on top of old amp and somehow forgot to post a clip! You know many of us want to hear a side by side comparison of the Yeti and Chupa. Come on man, quit teasing.
