WTF would the jack panel on a 4x12 be...

So when your cranked NMV 100 watt tube amp gets shaken off the tob cab of your full stack the cable doesn't get yanked out, and you can rock the fuck on.

All or most of the 60s 412s had the input jack on the bottom. Carried in to the 70s, with Marshall finally putting the jack on top in 1984/85 or thereabouts. The EVH cab just adheres to the vintage thing like an old Marshall straight cab.

I guess, but it's still dumb as fuck

Both my Peavey Butcher/VTM cabs had the jack near the bottom. I just took the backs off and turned them 180 degrees.
Having not thought of that I now realize that I also am dumb as fuck
