So, Nick's Decatone in the classifieds getting you curious too?
I've been reading everything I can find on that amp since I saw his listing.

Seems the reviews are love/hate. Many say it's their last amp ever, and similar to the SLO,
while the rest just say meh...
I'd love to check one out.

I have not tried the XTC classic, but the 101B I have (3) currently and (2) ubers.

(Ya, I have a love affair with the bogners :D )

They are definetely different, but both Vintage high gain and both are my favoirites.

The only reason I personally am getting rid of the Deca is because I have a SLO.

I have played both the SLO and Decatone and they sound pretty damn close to me, close enough that I could be happy keeping the Decatone rather than SLO. And thats not a sales pitch, because sale is pending on my Decatone. I think the Decatone gets the back seat because the SLO is a Holy Grail amp.

Bogner and Soldano are two of my top 5.

let me know if it sells i might be interested how old is it

I've owned a 100b XTC, Slo and Decatone. The Decatone excells at crunchy rythms, it does not have the mojo of the Slo OD channel. The Slo excells at articulation and grind, the XTC is a fatter more singing tone, darker, not so cutting. Neither is better but I would take the XTC over the Decatone.

I have an XTC Classic I ordered new with the cane grill and Class A option that I would never let go! And own a SLO too - different animals.
