Yamaha THR100HD footswitch help

So I bought the THR100HD which is a neat little SS amp but I never got the footswitch. Apparently, the effects loop can be turned on or off only by using the footswitch and it reverts to off every time you turn off the amp. I have searched but have not found any of these footswitches in the wild and Yamaha could care less when I asked them about a solution. So, I'm asking for any of you with tech expertise if you could look at the manual with schematic (attached) and tell me how difficult it would be to make a switch just for the effects loop. I don't take it out of my office so the rest of the functions on the footswitch aren't important. Although it is a five pin cable it is definitely not MIDI, some kind of proprietary Yamaha thing. Thanks to anyone that can help.

Well, depending on your skill level, it is a bit more complicated than a Fuzz Face...

Or, avoid the ass pain

Skill level = 0, unfortunately. Thanks for the link, I'm guessing that the THR100H footswitch can control the HD model? I appreciate the help.

Unfortunately I have worse news. They’re sending serial data packets to the footswitch and an onboard IC is what’s sending signals back to turn on and off stuff in the amp. It actually would make more sense to bypass the switching mechanism completely for the effects loop within the amp itself and not deal with the switching logic of the effects loop since it’s serially controlled.

Although I don't understand any of what you said (I've got no knowledge of electronics), I appreciate your reply, even if it's bad news. I guess I'll try to post a WTB in the classifieds section or do something dumb like buy another amp with the footswitch and then try to sell the duplicate amp. Ugh....

It wasn't my computer that raised an alarm, just me looking at the website and finding all the too good to be true prices, for example:
