Yeah but you have to walk around with long nails leaving everyone wondering why you chose to look like a fun boy...

Yeah, I might as well be another one of the guys instead of being great at guitar..

Pass me another light beer. Where's the hot wings?

Shouldn't you be getting busy on some nylon strings?

Giddy up...

Youtube musical and sports performance videos are the greatest self-esteem crusher or inspiration.
But videos like that make me want to dump 90% of my gear and obtain a personalized license plate reading I SUK.

I don't play guitar to be the best in the world. I play guitar to have fun and make music. I strive to be the best musician I can be.

I appreciate this style, but I had my share of it in college. Had to grow my fingernails and practice lots and lots and LOTS of fingerstyle. To be honest, it felt so good to plug back in and rip some rock leads. This guy is GOOD though.

This guy shreds at his style  , but compared to my own interests (hard rock/metal), he may as well be playing a saxophone...apples & oranges. Now when I see Loomis and CBroderick videos, that's when I start feeling the insecure pain

One of my best friends has played Spanish/Classical for 20+ years. He's recently moved from a "student" style guitar to a "concert" style classical. He really is going about it properly - which I commend him for.

Anyway, bottom line is technically he can wipe the floor with me and most anyone else I know. But its all nylon, and as he says, he's blown away by the power and tone shaping capabilities of electric guitars/amps/fx/etc. I envy him for his pure talent. He "kinda" envies me for my add-on effects and "stuff".

You see what I did there.

Who gets more pu$$y? Him or me I wonder? lol obviously it has nothing to do with being a man or homosexuality at all. That guy can rip and he is an amazingly accomplished player. There is no way i could ever come close to that. Much respect for it but i don't think it is worth having to grow the nails and scare the ladies away!

Yeah I had to do a bunch of classical/nylon string to finish my bachelor of music, and I actually grew to really like it. But I also have to play bass a bunch at work so the nails are a no go and as said, look kinda weird so unless it's your main thing I couldn't justify keeping/maintaining them even if not for bass playing. Still... dude is badass no doubt.

I'm growing my nails out just so people think I can rock the nylon string.

there's been lots of, "yeah, that guys good but i get laid more" on here lately

He's great.

I'm not interested than more than a couple songs of that style. Bores me. :aww:

True.

New members and their members.

When this guy gets hired by an Enrique Iglesias type of pop star looking for such a guitarist, if he's so inclined, we'll see who gets more high quality ass, as compared to the slack jawed yokels belittling such accomplished players for not getting any.

Why would anyone troll with a classical guitar thread on Rig-Talk of all places?
