If you are talking about THD Yellow jackets ..... no they can not just be used in any amp (but a lot of them, yes) and there are several models for different uses.

Converters so you can use EL84's in your amp instead of 34's or 6l6's. Converts from 8 pin to 9 pin. No bias necessary either. Kind of cool.
