I have been jonsen for a new amp and had a few different models in mind. The XTC always seemed priced out of reach but Griff was selling this one at a reasonable price(for an XTC mind you) and I jumped on it. Not saying I'll keep it forever. This will be my 2nd XTC. I owned my first one during a time where I was amp flipping like crazy. I think I owned an Uber, a 101b and a SLO in the same year. I'd like to give the XTC another try. We all know what phenominal amps these are. Super versitile and killer lead machines. If I find that I still play my FJA modded 5150 more then I'll move it. Thats just being realistic. Bottom line is these are legendary amps. The XTC deserves a second look.

Congrats, I'm sure you will have fun with it. I bought my 1st xtc from SLOgriff a couple yrs ago. Liked it so much and after proclaiming I would never sell it I sold it several months later only to buy another one sell that one and buy a 20th :lol: :LOL:

Just seemed like if i went that route i would end up spending even more for a poweramp wedges and God knows what else

I remember when you had the Uberschall half stack and XTC 101B first time around and flipping regularly, the XTC looked a bit road worn if I recall correctly.

Damn I've been on the forums too long. :lol: :LOL:
 
Wow you remembered that??? After i bought that amp the seller told me that supposedly Jerry Cantrell used it while sitting in with the band on The Dave Letterman Show. No idea if thats true but neat story i guess
