So it seems like Yngwie will be another artist to get his own sig amp from Marshall:

Code:
SONIC EXCESS: When can we expect Rising Force to hit the road in support of Relentless and blow up the Marshall amps?

MALMSTEEN: (Laughs) Yeah! Speaking of Marshall Amps, I’m having a signature Marshall stack released in January, so everyone can have the Yngwie Malmsteen amps as well. The touring has been spoken about; I literally just came out of the studio mixing, but the booking is someone else.

What the hell, this is a rip off! Who needs an YJM signature amp!

Cool, the JMP really hasn't been reissued, (unless my brain is farting me now??) so a possibility to get a new is nice.. Unless they price it like the Hendrix amp

There is reissues of both the 1987 and the 1959, so there isn't really need for one more.

:)

So what's going to make this special? Are they going to add a DOD250 inside the amp or something? Will Yngwie even use it? Does anybody remember the Rhino amp he used to have?

Yngwie has one of my favorite guitar tones ever...awesome!!!

Once again a company is disconnected from the public. If Marshall would have released this amp years ago, they would have made a killing. With the exception of guitar heads like us, who knows who Yngwie is?

   They're not selling Yngwie signature leather pants or Gold chains, their main business is selling amps to gear heads....

But why not just release it as a JMP reissue? Why have the Yngwie tie at all? I can understand the Slash Marshall and to some extent the Kerry King Marshall. I was in high school when Yngwie was at his most popular and only a certain few knew who he was.

I guess I'm afraid Marshall WILL put gold chains on the front of the amp and call it the "FURY" in big huge letters. :)

Yngwie is huge in other places- like japan. Bigger than he ever was here- like, you can go in a mainstream cd store and there'll be a big Yngwie display, with all his cd's and a friggin cardboard life-size cutout of him. Seriously!

Great point Pete, the market for a company does not only cater to the US. Besides a Fury amp would be cool, love Yngwie he has always ruled one of my favorite guitar players.

not a fan of 50 watters......knowing yngwie swares by them - ill stick to the 1959 and 1987 reissue 120's.

why would you make a reissue of a reissue of an original when the 1987's already exist, and we all know that 20W difference depends on the tubes you use and the median wattage output you bias them to.

in the literal sense 100W will be just as headroom-filled as 120W just as there are wattage differences with E34L's and 6550's/KT88's.

you knew damn well what i meant, why are you asking questions like i am an idiot?

well it would be interesting if they actually took one of his favorite heads, copied the circuit exactly, and maybe put a DOD 250 as a footswitchable boost in the head. I think he likes 50 watters from 72...? Not all Marshalls were created equal, as we all know, there were variations in the spec from the plexis through the metal panel heads. His tone was incredible at times...

Had no clue what you meant...saying you're not a fan of 50 watters and then saying you'll stick to a resissue of a 50 watter made no sense to me.
I'm not aware of any 120w Marshalls so to refer to 120's also made no sense (especially since one is a 50). Just seeking clarification.
Your tampon goes in the slender way...looks like you've shoved it in sideways today :D
