MR. WANKERY AT HIS BEST !!!!        I actually saw this tour and it wasn't that bad compared to this video. The last time I saw him before this was the 1985 Marching Out Tour In Detroit at St. Andrews Hall and it destroyed. Man he was the shit back then. I kind of gave up on him since Odyssey although I have some of his CDs after, but his newer stuff is down right horrible IMO. He is a parody of himself these days.

+1, though the show I caught on this tour was horrible...

What show did you see?
Hartford CT

Yes I got rising force as well. Saw him on that tour. Just lost interest in him after that. Guy is talented I can say that.
His theatrics I can do without. ;)

I saw him a few months back in Dallas. He was really good. I thought he still put on a good show and plays effortlessly really. I don't know what is going on in this clip, its as if hee he can't hear the bass and drums and loses his place...I only saw him one other time and that way back with Jeff Scott Soto (same venue / show metalmaniac93 mentions) he blew the roof off the place.

The keyboardist looks like he had one to many return trips to Golden Corrals chocolate shitter-Bahn

1st time I saw Yngwie was opening for Dio in '85 on the last in line tour. Since I had only been playing for over a year it was a big impression.

Last 5-6 albums have ranged from meh to awful, especially when he sings. Lots of conjecture about the bad mix's from his home studio being caused by major hearing loss. Do t ko ow, but it does explain some of his sonic choices.

The only thing I know about Him is that I used to work in a place right around the corner from his old Rehearsal spot, was invited inside by a former drummer of his band & he had Garbage Bags Filled with Guitar Picks.

George Lynch could use a few of those garbage bags full of picks... he wouldn't give his pick away the other night because he said he had one left to last him 5 shows. :scared:

His arpeggios are so sloppy these days. His timing has also gone to shit. The stuff he is writing is way too fast and doesn't fit in time with anything the rythm section plays. Slow the fuck down Yngwie! We get it, you are fast as lightning.

Strats and metal just never mixed with me. YJM is talented for sure.

It's predictable though.

weew, wee doo we waaaa.............. widdly widdly widdly widdly widdly widdly widdly widdddddddly waaaaaaaaa

Yup. Billion notes blurring together. Sounds like an old 80s pinball machine to me.

The show that I was at, the band was so low in the mix that they couldn't even hear themselves. The keyboard/Russian madrigal singer, was looking at the drummer shaking his head for most of the set...eventually settling on an E Harmonic minor chord progression...the ol' fuck it, close enough.

I love Yngwie, I didn't think that he played that sloppy once he was warmed up. But you are right, he needs to slow down, find a singer, spread the band out, and get back to his 1980's glory. I will say that given the fact that the show I was at had maybe a 25% capacity crowd, he still played and acted as if it was a sold out show. Contrast that to 1995 when I saw him under similar circumstances and he got hammered and told us to bring some friends next time repeatedly.

In George's case, it's do I want to eat, or buy a bag of picks. I love the guy, but man that really sucks about his finances.
