In the first video it's obvious that his music is better suited to be played with an orchestra than a rock band. Incredible and flawless picked note runs that must have had the classically trained musicians impressed.

Personally I think Marching Out already topped it. But his best instrumentals were on Rising Force for sure.

The guy plays like he's on fire live. Very few guys can deliver what he does live. It's so worth going to see him when he tours. Yngwie will never ever go digital modeling, lol.

Yngwie has cut all of his songs in half in recent years, and it's so annoying. Just verse, chorus, solo, done. I really don't want to pay for that.

“Rising Force” will always be on my list of inspiring “guitar-centric” albums.
So many good memories about that album.
We drove down to S.F. to see him, on his first solo tour, at the Kabuki Theater.
It was f_cking epic.
