I picked out 3 different ones online and within one day, they all sold.
Selling like crazy.
I ended up with a 50's(love bigger necks) Gold Top. Massive tone, fit, finish and tone.

Bang for the buck fo sho.

I would love to see a pic!

Speaking of pictures, they include a glossy picture of the guitar you buy with the rest of the case candy. Gibson got there shit together with these axe's.

The only gripe (if your real picky) is the bridge post screws are NOT tapped directly into the wood.
The go into a insert so you don't get the true 'Tune O Matic " spec.

I guess you might miss a bit of sustain and tone but for $2499.00 who gives a fuck

Are you kidding me??? Oh man, that is awesome!! See, those types of things are what brings in customers and makes someone feel like they give a crap. It is just a pic but we love case candy, etc.

Yeah, I saw the post screw thing in a video. You know what, like you said who gives a f**k and the other thing is, we are gaining back so much sustain and tone by having all the WEIGHT BACK!!!! :) No more chambers or other weight relief!

I like getting the weight back. The picture is awesome. It makes it feel like they were proud to build it for you. Nice little touch. As far as the not tapping into the wood, I really don't give a fuck either.

I think that they are setting themselves up for success.

I also really like how the new Joe Perry Gold Rush looks. I would not pay that for it, but it looks hawt. If it was non custom shop and $2k I would get one ASAP.

Speaking of gold tops, I went to Guitar Center today and played a 2019 Les Paul Classic in gold. They didn't have any 2019 Standards so figured I'd give it a whirl. Wow, played and sounded awesome!! I was impressed. Nice chunky chords rang out with just enough crunch without overdoing it, etc.

I plugged into one of those Blackstar HT 40 amps (great amp btw. I have played one of these on two occasions and man they sound good). Unfortunately some jackass in his 20s doesn't know what a volume control is and was playing a cross between Yngwie sweeps, Kerry King tone, and downtuned to Stoner rock with piano strings. It was a cross between cats fighting, a bird near death, and sounds you would get from a porno. I was not impressed. I was still able to hear the tones coming out of the amp I was playing thru though.

When I pick up a guitar, if it feels solid, tuners and other parts seem secured, noise is non-existent or tolerable, I know almost immediately if I'll like it. This guitar was like that. In tune right away with some minor adjustments and just had that Les Paul crunch. Just sounded great immediately. Both pickups sounded killer and just worked for all types of stuff. I can't wait to try out a Standard 2019!!
