I was going through some old stuff and came across THIS old band picture (check out the hair and clothes - pretty embarassing, now). I don't know the exact year it was taken, but it must have been around 1975. I was playing my old tele through a Woodson amp. Woodson was an off-shoot of Custom amps. Woodson had this new fangled solid state "Tube Effect" circuit. I remember trying it as the music store and being impressed enough to buy one. It turned out to be one of those deals where it sounded better in the store then it did on the gig. I only had the amp for a year or so, before moving on to something else. After doing some searching I found some info about Woodson amps. Thought some of you guys might get a kick our of seeing some of the literature about this old amp.

That band photo is awesome. My favorite part is the mixing console with the built in legs/stand and the HUGE knobs. Those were the days.

If I remember right, that was a Peavey powered mixer.

How's that for a left handed compliment? What songs were you playing in that band? I'll bet that Leslie cabinet was a bear to lug around...

The leslie AND the B3 were a bear to lug around. We did mostly Soul/Motown/Funky stuff. Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Spinners, Marvin Gaye, etc.

Oh, thats cool stuff!, the bass chassis looks like a Kustom lovechild   I used to have a Kustom, the silver-padded ones, if you dimed everything on it, it roared like a lion, otherwise it was a far less impressive beast   Thanks - Jim
