Oh yeah. Robin Trower, B.L.T., Jack Bruce, Bill Lordan. I think that may have been when Robin started to write all of his own material. And it clearly spilled over into his solo career.
 
Yeah Vai may take the cake for guitar faces. He is certainly a very animated guy. OP you ever listen to BLT? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B.L.T. in my opinion this record has some of the best tones ever. Had it on cassette and never found it on CD.

And can you believe that Robin used the Cornell RT100 in the studio to record the entire album "What Lies Beneath"? The album with "Shame" on it.

Snore :confused: Speaking of timeless this sounds like it came out of the 70s'. I have heard of this guy but this is not doing anything for me. Sounds like generic 70s' phaser and pentatonics in Em on a Strat played through a Plexi.

First off (and really not the only dumb thing you wrote in your snore-oific post) Robin used a Cornell RT100 for the studio work. Robin hasn't used a Plexi for many years. Robin now uses a Marshall Vintage MODERN for all his live performances.

What else, Oh, go back to sleep . . . :)

my cousin imitates that face when he tries to play..it's so fucking annoying seeing the imitation, i wanna honky tonk man him with his piece of shit acoustic.
 
I am sure I read somewhere that Robin Trower once compared this guy in the clip to himself or at least that is what the guy in the clip claimed I think his name was carl or king crimson

1) The Carl you are thinking of would be referring to "Carl Fiando". And no, Robin Trower would not have referred to himself in any capacity to CF.

2) As for King Crimson, that would be the great guitarist, "Robert Fripp". Robert doesn't even exist in the same Galaxy as Robin Trower.

I would say you misunderstood me but I do not believe you did
I was saying it was the guy Carl Fiando in the clip that said Robin trower made the comparison and whilst this is blatantly untrue and Robin Trower did not ever say this , it was the case that the carl fiando character said that trower said it and I know as clearly remember that I read his comment sometime ago.
