He's sick as hell. I love his vibrato
No need to say anything else. Robin is very underestimated in the music biz.

However, I could very much fall in love (what a beautiful smile) with this: :)

I am sure I read somewhere that Robin Trower once compared this guy in the clip to himself or at least that is what the guy in the clip claimed I think his name was carl or king crimson

1) The Carl you are thinking of would be referring to "Carl Fiando". And no, Robin Trower would not have referred to himself in any capacity to CF.

2) As for King Crimson, that would be the great guitarist, "Robert Fripp". Robert doesn't even exist in the same Galaxy as Robin Trower.

Robert Fripp example:

King Crimson ~ Descipline (Brew HaHa!)

I would say you misunderstood me but I do not believe you did
I was saying it was the guy Carl Fiando in the clip that said Robin trower made the comparison and whilst this is blatantly untrue and Robin Trower did not ever say this , it was the case that the carl fiando character said that trower said it and I know as clearly remember that I read his comment sometime ago.

The King crimson that I was reffering to is I believe also carl fiando and he used to post here under the name King Crimson and claimed his father was Fred gerlach who wrote gallows pole and he was always banging on about Jimmy Page and how His father Fred Gerlach sold the song to Jimmy page

Snore  Speaking of timeless this sounds like it came out of the 70s'. I have heard of this guy but this is not doing anything for me. Sounds like generic 70s' phaser and pentatonics in Em on a Strat played through a Plexi.
First off (and really not the only dumb thing you wrote in your snore-oific post) Robin used a Cornell RT100 for the studio work. Robin hasn't used a Plexi for many years. Robin now uses a Marshall Vintage MODERN for all his live performances.

What else, Oh, go back to sleep . . . :)
I grew up listening to Trower, so I admire his skills and dig a lot of his music. Having said that, Supersonic's viewpoint is just that -his viewpoint. He's entitled to it, regardless of whether or not any of us agree with it. If I read it correctly, he wasn't implying that Robin used a Plexi, just that the tune reminded him of 70's era Strat/Plexi tones. Criticizing those that disagree with you seems to be common in your threads. If your goal is to find nut-huggers that will agree with everything you say, I suspect that you will be disappointed. Why so much animosity, Bro?

You posted a cool song, by a great musician. Some will like it; some won't. Discuss the related opinions with an open mind and a pleasant attitude and we'll all be better for it.

Just my opinion...

Cheers

Take what CF says with a good taste of salt. As slave owners used to in the trading barter for slaves back in the day.

FG did not write "Gallows Pole" which has been in existence for many centuries. FG wrote a very advanced progressive blues variant of GP. And this variant that the guy from the band named after a rigid airship pioneered by the German Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin in the early 1899 had no clue where to start with FG's version. This guy having no fingerstyle guitar training (then or now) had to rewrite the complete variant of FG's work on GP.

Hope that helps . . .
