I still like the Mesa Mark series but let's face it, most of the great tones from THE best decade of guitar tones came from players who used Marshalls. Back then what did suck was trying to find out the tips on how these guys got their tones, it was all like a big secret back then. Of course we've all had our own discoveries, triumph's, failure's etc.
But list some of the tones that you think of when everyone says, "pissed off sounding Marshall". You know that tone, the one that every modded amp tries to nail, some do some don't. And I'm not even sure if what I thought were stock Marshalls were in fact just that? Who knows?
And I said not so obvious becuase I don't feel like talking about Van Halen.
I feel like the one guy who grew up in the 80's who wasn't a huge VH fan.
