It's Loverboy!! I know...I know...

But I've always thought this is a great cranked Marshall tone on the intro....nice and meaty. Listen up to 1:00

Totally agree here. I was just listening to this tune last week in my car and had a similar thought. Sometimes you hear tones and you can just tell they sound like the amp is pushed to the brink.

I thought Skid Row used Rivera rack gear?

According to Wagener when he did that Q&A they used the ADA MP1 for the vast majority of the album tones.

I love this thread...that's about all i wanted to add

Yep, cool thread, and some great tones, but quite a few of those weren't Marshalls, stock or modded.

Still some great stuff

They didn't start using Rivera gear until their second album...the first was almost all ADA. They got turned on to Rivera by Jason Beiler when Saigon Kick opened up for them.

Some choices from the heavier side of things. Pretty sure these are all Marshalls.

With Spanish translation for extra lulz!

I have no idea if these were posted yet,
can't see all the Videos from my Iphone.
But here's a few I remember!

agree, and they dimed those plexis too. I think I still have hearing damage from a gig they played in WV before they signed to Atlantic.

For me, when I think Marshall tones for that period I think AC/DC, Michael Schenker, Accept and TT Quick. Those signature tones are still winners in the current time-frame.

For the Anthrax and SOD/MOD, didn't they use Marshalls with Rat pedals?
