My favourite middle pickup config for an SSS Strat is to have the middle pickup between the bridge and neck pickups ;-) You're very welcome!

I really enjoy my YJM single coils. Each one is wired slightly differently for each position. Positon 2 and 4 on the blade swtich gets you that really nice jangly sound with less noise.

i like the Area pickups from Dimarzio just because of the help with noise. I've used the '58 and '61 and liked them both in the middle

DiMarzio FS-1s in all positions with the middle reverse wrapped. I’d never use the middle pickup alone though, no matter what I’d put there.
