Harry Cody
Andy McCoy
Rory Gallagher
Add Bernie Torme and Ray Gomez to that list and you got mine...
I dig Bernie but I'm not familiar with Ray outside of seeing him in Peavey ads (the Butcher IIRC) in the 80's. Where should I start to check him out?

+1 million for James Murphy!! Totally underrated ant no popular enough!

Cheers!

Adrian Belew
Sin Quirin
Jennifer Batten (weird, but very worthy!!)
Django, albeit, not sure if that classifies as "unpopular"
Local guy named Dave Martone, seriously making the rounds this cat

That's it off the top of my head

Some great nominations so far, many of whom I'll repeat on my own list, which just has to start with Ty Tabor for me...

Ty Tabor
Criss Oliva
Mark McGee (also some of the best hot-rodded Marshall 800 tone I've ever heard when I saw him with Vicious Rumors back in the 90s!)
Vivian Campbell (seriously... Holy EFFING Diver, dude does NOT get enough credit!)
Andy Wood (both Down From Up and A Disconcerting Amalgam are BRILLIANT)
Greg Howe
Shawn Lane
Ronnie LeTekro
Tommy Emmanuel (saw this guy again a couple of weeks ago... dude's a WITCH)
Jimmy Herring
Sonny Landreth
Danny Gatton
Gus G. (much more for Firewind than Ozzy)
Chris Caffery
Chris Poland
Andy Latimer (Camel)
Eric Peterson (where would Testament be without Eric's EPIC riffs?!)
JOE Holmes (WTF ever happened to this guy?! I thought he was AMAZING when I saw him with Ozzy!)

And a big, HUGE +1 to Steffen Schackinger. I bought ElectriGuitartistry a year or so ago, and it's one of the most impressive and inspiring debuts I've heard in a VERY long time, along with Andy Wood's. Both of these guys have a serious future ahead of them and both are phenomenal and very promising young talents.

"PERIPHERY, LOVE THAT SHIT!" I love that you quoted ragtime dandies haha. Yeah dude just went to see them in Philadelphia, PA 2 weeks ago. The place was big enough to fit 4.5 people and we crammed in 100 haha. I was about 4 ft from the stage. They played with Scale the Summit and Fair to Midland. Scale the Summit, besides Periphery, stole that show. Wearing a Spencer signed t-shirt now actually haha. It's nice to find another Djent-Head brother
