So if you could pick your own G3 tour, who would it be? Doesn't matter if they're all guitar instrumental guys or guys from bands, just anybody you'd like to put together to jam. They could be classic, all 80's, modern, whatever.
Mine currently would be:

Buckethead
Pete Thorn
John 5

In the 80's I'd kill to see:
Slash
Chris Holmes
CC Deville
Just to watch the crazy drunken train wreck!

Dimebag
Randy Rhoads
Jimi Hendrix

Do they have to be alive?

Michael Romeo
André Olbrich
John 5

Mark Zonder on drums.

Today:
John Petrucci
Paul Gilbert
Nuno Bettencourt

30 years ago:
Eddie Van Halen
Alex Lifeson
George Lynch

first group:

Chet Atkins, Jimmy Reed, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton

second group

Holdsworth, EVH, Duane Allmann, Blackmore, Page

I have to have at least.....
Angus Young and Ace Frehley for the top 2 picks.
I know they are not the greatest technical players....but man they influenced me more then anyone.

Here's Mine.

Today G3:
Andy Timmons
Ritchie Kotzen
Steve Stevens

Old School G3:

I thought out which players would
compliment each other in a Wicked Jam session.

Very Cool Thread!!!

I have several;

Eric Gales
Philip Sayce
Gary Moore (Blues Version)

Neal Schon
Michael Schenker
Gary Moore (Rock Version)

Neal Schon
John Sykes
John Norum

Richie Kotzen

That would pretty much cover it for me

Jeff Loomis
Buckethead

Dream Team

Na, don't have to be alive.. just who you think would sound amazing together.
How about...

Robert Johnson
SRV
Jeff Healey

Jerry Cantrel, Guthrie and Me...
not that am great, but it would be one hell of a learning experience.

Love this thread!!!

Alive:
- Bonamassa
- Gilmour
- Kotzen and/or Timmons

Match made in heaven:
- Jimi
- Moore
- RR

Awesome topic.

Beck, Page, and Clapton, all going nuts. I think I'm going to start importing some water from Surrey, England.

I'm going with people alive and kicking:

Bettencourt
Timmons
Aldrich

MIne would be a weird mix.
Chris Broderick
Buckethead.
Paul Gilbert

I'm gonna break the rules and do a G5 ;)

Nuno Bettencourt
Steve Stevens
John 5
Pete Thorn
Phil X

I would be happy with any of these. The Schon, Schenker and Moore show would be killer. So would that Kotzen, Timmons and Howe.
