So what amp do you use to practice in the bedroom without bringing the house down? We recently reviewed the Line 6 Spider IV 15 and really liked the sound out of this little monster:

But I was wondering what other amps do you guys use?

Mesa Mark IV!

Seriously, I can get an excellent bedroom tone for metal and hard rock! Not so good for classic rock (channel 2...sounds shit unless you crank it).

Or I use my Eggie Rebel on 1 watt with a TS-808.

200 watt Titan and Randall 4x12. :D

it's honestly what I use at the house, I also use it at rehearsal and gigs.

Tremoverb full stack ?

I use my Egnator Rebel 20 or Fender silver face Champ for low power.

I use a Pandora PX4d with a set of Bose headphones, I've got it set up with some great sounds and I can practice any time I want without waking anyone.

Really? And no one complains? Even with a 20 watt I used to use headphones for practice- just had enough of people in the building complaining. Or maybe my playing was just lousy :scared:

not really, I dont turn it up to retardo volumes, and my neighbors are really cool. My wife doesn't mind usually, the only thing thatbugs her is my bass rig, only because it rattles the house, and doesn't take nowhere near the volume to do it, so it's kinda pointless for me to play that one at home, but the guitar rig is no problem.

I tried a '66 Fender BF champ for a while, but while it was easier to control to keep the volume low, I found I played almost as loud as I did with my larger amps. So I just use my regular 40-85Watt tube amps. I would like to get an Aracom attenuator and see if that helps. Its alot harder to keep the volume down than you think, there's only so low you can go.

Blackstar HT-5 and a 1x12 in my office where I play along with the computer. Roland Cube 60 in the living room for noodling. The HT5 does Marshall way better, but the Cube has that JC channel for cleans that so sweet.

100wt Diezel Einstein - sounds better than so many other low wtt-ers I've tried at low volums, including the Rebel 20

Marshall JVM 410H with GT-8.
You can get good tones at about any volume with this rig

I have a couple small Fender practice amps, but lately I've been using the live rig in the living room. Boosted rectifier with 212.

I have a Line 6 Vetta combo that I use for at home practice. Killer tones at bedroom volumes are possible. The Spiders are great for this as well and alot cheaper.

Suhr Badger 18 watts w/ Barber Direct drive in front. Add the power scale feature that the Badger has and I'm able to achieve great tone.
