Guys I've decided I'm a tan pants TGP boomer now, and I'm changing my guitar style to strictly pentatonic and "feel" based improvising

As such, the top ten guitarists of all time are John Lennon, Slowhand, Bonermaster, and Jimmy Clamptom

Lord have mercy on that poor pickup selector switch

Off of the top of my head; Honestly, not many. Hetfield, Mustaine, John 5 were all pretty cute at their peaks. Not sure I would label any a 10. Lynch aged pretty well, but he might be shorter than me according to an AI video I recently posted. Have heard that Keith Richards was a 10 back in the Victorian era. @skoora @rsm probably melted a few panties in their time from what I've seen. There's a number of members here who are hotties, but I'll decline from getting into it. I'm sure @The~Kid will tell me why I'm wrong and lay out a better list.
What about this handsome devil?

'Neil Young' sounds like a disgusting sexual act that Jeffery Epstein undoubtedly committed several times
Needle and the damage done was what happens right before you were bundled into the shipping container bound for Yemen.

It is a pretty cool little chord progression though. I remember being quite proud when I picked it out when I was about 13 or 14.

I’d be blushing but I have mirrors in my house and even the magic ones say nigga, please. If panties, in 1992, were made of ice cream, then yes, I was in with a chance for liquidity.

I refuse to believe that anyone on this site is :ROFLMAO:

Like, I understand people saying a guitarist that I didn't really hold in high regard is in their top ten if their actual playing is what's famous

Like if you, VBF, said Freddie King was in your top 10? I wouldn't have Freddie in my top 10, but I totally get why you would, right?

My mind is blown that anyone could say neil young is in their top 10 of guitarists - like the dude literally makes obnoxious feedback noises as guitar solos in his songs like a teenager
No, you're right. These lists always, every time, devolve into a list of who someone's favorite guitar players are, NOT who the best are. You may not like John Lennon for example, but he was a pretty god damn good rythmn player, especially for the time. His choice of chords and progressions and ability to pull off very clean transitions between difficult fingering positions was pretty mother fucking good. And that don't even account for the songwriting and often counter melodic music he came up with.

You clearly missed the pic I posted last night which was taken prior to my drone hunting expedition a few months back. Easily an 11.

I thought that was the point of this particular thread. 🤷‍♀️ Otherwise my list is laughable if we're going by talent for the most part.

Didn't catch that, but like I said before

I've seen that head of yours rocking a lion's mane.
Don't discount yourself so easily these days either, T 😘

In case for seem reason it came off offensive, it was supposed to be a compliment.
TBH, now that @DanTravis62 posted that tan pants clip, I don't feel like anyone can ever top him.

I'm a boomer shitbird like everyone on RT now

I think Telecasters and New Balance 990 series are super neat

NOW DONT DISRESPECT NEIL YOUNG HE'S THE BEST GUITARIST EVER, HAVE YOU HEARD THE AMAZING GUITAR SOLO HE DID ON "ROCKIN IN THE FREE WORLD"?

Do you understand how much talent it takes to make stupid feedback like a fuckin child?

In no particular order except #1, #2 and #3:
Jimi Hendrix
EVH
Paco de Lucía
David Gilmour
Tom Scholz
Randy Rhoads
Adrian Smith
George Lynch
Warren DeMartini
Andy LaRocque

See, I actually kept it to 10.
