No. it's contrarian that people rag on Kid, but you make it a point to stick up for him; or in this case the one other dude who tries, instead of just staying out of it when you have no stake in the game. Or the core of it, you make it a point to go in the opposite direction of others even when you know you're dead wrong for the sake of being contrarian. It's not like this is some big secret, most people see it.
