Hi.

Hey, I love the o rings or those screws guys put in there guitars but where does one get the straps that work with the same? I'm wondering how they go about this? I know they take out the strap buttons and replace it with one of the metal screw in things, but where do you get a strap that has the proper attachement to work with the new strap post / button, etc,?

Thanks

I'd be a bit weary on doing this...just an FYI...I tried this on a guitar or two of mine and it worked well until I decided I liked regular strap buttons better. When I went to go back to the old ones i realized that the eyelet screws made a bigger hole and my old screws were too thin to fit. So I had to move the screws over and create a new hole. This is fine if you're going to keep the guitar...but I'm sure it'll hurt resale value. I had a HARD time selling a RARE EVH Wolfgang with those eyelet screws.

But to answer your question I got my straps at http://www.meanstreetguitars.com

It just an eyelet screw and a caribiner to latch into it (at least in ZW's case).

If it ends up making the screw hole larger, just dowel it in with toothpicks. No need to drill a new hole...

yeah, drilling a new hole seems like a bit of a fail there I'm afraid..

The same hardware store you buy the eyelet screw should also have clip hooks that will work on any strap.

Thanks folks. I'm not sure I'll do it, but considering it on some of the guitars. I like the idea of the strap being able to rotate, etc, and move a little more freely was my original thinking.. I'm not sure it would work any better than a regular strap, but I have a couple cheapies I might try it with, on a cheap strat I built.
Thanks a lot..
