If just the BLS faithful buy his new gear, he will do quite well. They are rabid fans.
I think he is one of the few "guitar gods" still out there consistently putting out new music and touring. Like him or hate him, he has major skills.
And you can't bag him for wanting to make money off his name. I know a bunch of guys that wanted his iron curtain setup. Gibson made a ton of bucks from his guitar line, why shouldn't he want a bigger cut of that? Yeah, I wonder what he will do for a les paul....
Pretend for a moment you have his following. Now pretend a company wants to make your gear the way you want it,and offer you a huge slice of the pie. And they wanna price it so most anyone can afford it if they mow lawns all summer. Yeah,I hate the Chinese getting over on us so much....big time. But that's the way it is. I won't buy it for that reason alone. But you can't bag him for trying to get money from his name...everyone here wishes they had his skill set, and a fan base as rabid as his. I wish him the best of luck, and hope the amp is a home run for less than a grand.

Im not sure comparing what EVH does well equates the same for Zakk.
Ed started from scratch and pioneered.
Zakk merely graces his name on others builds.

I used to love Zakk. His playing,tone and songwriting has totally left me uninterested.
Maybe Zakk could get Mustaine in on the action and they could both sit around and stare at the unsold gear.

Zakk is slowing down a bit as we all are but can still play most under the table one handed.
His DNA is in every stadium venue around the globe.
The man has given his life to music, WTF more do you want from a guitar GOD ?
I doubt Zakk measure's his own success by public opinion on forums.

I say wait till the shit actually comes out. Who knows, this stuff could be awesome.
And to call Zakk irrelevant when 99.99999% of you haven't done anything he has, gotten the accolades he has, been to places he's been, or even play as good as he does, is pretty funny. Like what was said earlier in this post, Zakk still tours heavily, sells out shows, and is known as a guitar god who inspires tons of guys to play, while most of you can barely play your man cave show piece rigs.

Look I find early Zakk amazing and deserving and I am a fan of his Early Ozzy and P&G days.
But for whatever Reason he changed his formula too much.
Tastefull Pinch usage went too constant pinch wanking,big juicy Marshall tone went too loud,chorus drenched mud.
