Zakk Wylde Les Paul camo custom

Your truss will look like this and require a socket tool,, same as your explorer:
iu

And not like this that uses allen/hex keys:

iu

Also, if it appears authentic or you are unsure and don't want to seem accusatory you could ask to see how much "life" the truss rod has left because if it looks like this with a bunch of threads sticking out, it means end of life without some $$$ work:
iu
iu

What you want is this with threads deeper in the nut, you're also looking for a half circle shim under the nut, that's normal:
iu
iu

Also, given the FRX on it and locking nut there should be a locking nut still on it or evidence there once was one if the seller is removing the frx.

I checked guitar. To me it seems like a real deal how it feels and I checked all points that you and Trogly mentioned. Here's some close up pics, please let me know what you think.

If it feels legit than that’s a pretty good sign it IS legit. Those Chibanez copies are such fucking garbage they don’t even feel like real guitars. A buddy was just telling me about the bullseye knock-off he ordered for $150 just to see what the deal was with them. They’re looking pretty legit these days-

They make the Camo version as well- https://www.dhgate.com/product/cust...3917593409.#pcpdymlcppd-2-5|null::r7268436160

He said the second he touched it he could tell it was a fake due to feeling like a giant piece of plastic and the weight just being off for an LPC. That said, $150 isn’t bad for a really nice piece of wall art. :ROFLMAO:

Still really fucking strange this dude wants to trade that for an average Explorer. Do you know this dude or did he hit you up at random? Those Wylde Gibsons don’t go for cheap prices, I don’t think I’ve seen one under $5K in years.

Dude is well known musician here, doesn't play on stage anymore, about 60 years old. Told me that he knows the value of the instrument, but he said that also he knows that he can't ask for as much here that he could get abroad. I would have to pay some extra to him, but it's nothing compared to the real price. He has another Les Paul classic, so he wanted to have all his favourite shapes at home, explorer and etc. It would be stupid for him to lie about something, because then everyone know what he did. He bought it long time ago from some of his friends. Toured a lot with it. You can see marks everywhere.

Hell yeah, man!!! Enjoy that fucking camo!!!!!

I've send an email to Gibson. How fast they usually answer?
The last time I emailed them for some verification, it took a few days to get a response. For another support question, it took about a week. They aren't exactly speedy.

That looks real as hell to me - it even has the nitro bubbling around the logo and diamond inlay on the headstock like my early 2k's LPC does. Hope you can work out a good deal!

Gibson wrote me back that it's a genuine Les Paul, but I saw another one from 2005 on reverb and it has different logo on the back of headstock. Does it vary through the years?

Yes, they did. The Custom Shop logo changed I think about 2007 and would be inline with the 4XX (2009-10) serial of the one you posted pics of. After looking over those photos you better put a ring on that finger before I do because the LP in the photos he sent you is legit.

Yup they vary . I bought a brand new translucent cherry Les Paul standard in 1990 that has a "Custom Shop Edition" logo on the back of the headstock from Sam Ash in Paramus NJ for $800.00 new.

What you're showing is the real deal .

Anyone know why the fretboard is so light in color on this ZW edition Gibson ?
