His last Gibson models that weren't classic LPs really scared me. Now that he is going to run off and do his own business I dont think my appeal will follow. I loved his early Pride and Glory work but he lost me shortly after his best work with Ozzy was over ( for me Ozzmosis was the last good piece of work but my lowly opinion).

Im a ZW fan. I like squealie's and chorus and Les Pauls but this guys music and gear taste are not trending the same direction anymore for me. Im sure he does not mind one bit. Best of luck to him.

That was horrible. I couldn't understand a single note.

Just caught the last riff he did. What amps are those?

Sounded really bad alright. But, his overall playing had no direction either. Sounded like some kid in the corner at Guitar Center playing some mindless nonsense trying to impress his friends and anyone else unfortunate enough to be nearby. Horrendous!

Zakk's picking is ferocious. It's clean and it's aggressive. Yeah, he plays the same type of pentatonic runs a lot, but who cares. He's a metal icon, and he brings it.

If His picking is the only thing positive we can grasp at then maybe Zakk should hit the woodshed......a lot.
His choice of notes and his scale runs are horrid sounding even with his "amazing" picking.
Another terrible sit in for Zakk. Yikes.

Again another guy on that show who's abilities seem to plummet...I don't get what it is but very few people sound even decent on that show. Its like they loose 50% of their capabilities in that studio, weird. Zack sounded awful to me...like most guitar guests on TMS. sorry...with that much gain and an octave divider plus delay plus chorus it was hard to tell what the hell he was really playing...sounded kinda like when I make drinks in my blender.

The lower gain bluesy bit was pretty decent though....the rest meh

I wish I could play as well as he sucks.

LOL!!! Classic!

I've always liked Zakk and just wish he would turn the knobs down a bit. Instead of a jet engine whooshing chorus, just turn it down a bit.

Explain how his choice of notes and runs is horrid sounding. He's not Kerry King, he's playing in key. Maybe he's not Holdsworth or Robben Ford, but give me a break.....he's a metal player from the '80s.

Zakk has only had 3 or 4 good leads in his arsenal ever. I love "no rest" and "no more tears" but his tone became awful on the latter... He killed Ozzy's solo career with his horrible tone and mediocre playing IMO. Ozzy should have dropped him after 2 records and found a new badass shredder. Joe Holmes smoked Zakk live on the Ozzfest 2000 tour. Ozzy should have kept him for a couple albums.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I thought he played well, I was pretty impressed at some of the stuff he was doing, keep in mind he's not going through a huge p.a. system or studio processing like you're use to hearing, it's just raw into the t.v. studio's board, sounds to me like he's keeping his chops up pretty well!

Is it ok I think the bullseye thing is gay? I thought he kicked ass and his gear peaks my interest but I just never liked his Black Label stuff. But yes his tone could be found in a line 6 spider 2 head. Also Lizzy Hale anyone a fan?

I agree. I thought he was pretty damn entertaining.
