What are the differences between these two pedals both clean boost pedals.
+1 Also add that the MXR boost I did not find to be as "transparent" for lack of a better word than my experiences with the SHO. If you use the Super Duper 2 in 1 be careful of your levels or you can do some damage to your hearing, speakers, or both. There is that much boost available. Years ago I did a boost pedal comparison article (it included the SHO, Super Duper 2 in 1 is two SHO's in one) that I believe was well received and was available online, but looks like it is no longer available. If anyone has an idea on how I can get it placed online for others to refer to that would be great. It is a word document. Sadly, one of the pedal builders included in the review is no longer with us.rupe":sg2el5ve said:I've owned an SHO since '99 and like it a lot. It's design is taken from the preamp section of an old mixing console (I can't remember which one), essentially making it a preamp pedal more than an actual clean boost (although it functions nicely in that capacity). It's very transparent and really doesn't color your sound from an eq standpoint...it simply makes things sound bigger and more clear. At its highest gain settings it functions much like an overdrive but I've always found it too noisy for my tastes when dimed. I think it functions much better in the middle of its range and it makes a great "always on" pedal when used in that manner.
