Saw this cool guitar at local music store and had to have it. Brought it home, yanked out the tone control and replaced it with a rubber monkey, put a new 500k volume pot, new knob, cleaned up the fretboard a bit, adjusted the neck and new strings. As you can see it's kinda Tele shaped. I do not like Telecasters and they are uncomfortable to me. This guitar however is very comfortable against my body. The clip seriously took about 5 minutes and is completely raw so I don't know if the mega oomph this guitar has is coming through. But in person it is beefy sounding. Best $49 I've spent.
Couple of clips
**New one**
The amp settings and everything else was identical for all 3 clips. The two with drums just had the guitars double tracked. I think it's a cool example of how the same guitar tone can sound so different by itself or in a mix. I had the gain pretty low for these clips which also adds a bit of brightness. It was on 2. Volume was on 1.5 (still very loud) Bass,Mid and Depth at noon, treble on 4 and presence at 10 O'clock.
obviously I was kidding about the mortgage thing.
