Saw this cool guitar at local music store and had to have it. Brought it home, yanked out the tone control and replaced it with a rubber monkey, put a new 500k volume pot, new knob, cleaned up the fretboard a bit, adjusted the neck and new strings. As you can see it's kinda Tele shaped. I do not like Telecasters and they are uncomfortable to me. This guitar however is very comfortable against my body. The clip seriously took about 5 minutes and is completely raw so I don't know if the mega oomph this guitar has is coming through. But in person it is beefy sounding. Best $49 I've spent.

Couple of clips

**New one**

The amp settings and everything else was identical for all 3 clips. The two with drums just had the guitars double tracked. I think it's a cool example of how the same guitar tone can sound so different by itself or in a mix. I had the gain pretty low for these clips which also adds a bit of brightness. It was on 2. Volume was on 1.5 (still very loud) Bass,Mid and Depth at noon, treble on 4 and presence at 10 O'clock.

obviously I was kidding about the mortgage thing. :D

Is that a Suhr or Anderson? Seriously cool find. Looks neat.

49 bucks!!!!!!

The clips sound great, have to love the fun / cost ratio on that fiddle!

Thanks. Yup, Forty Nine buckaroonies. Of course I'm not including the cost of the Monkey.  It seriously sounds beefy in person. Feels really comfortable too. In case you can't see the name on the headstock, here is a close up.

They make guitars for Converge and Trap Them, some of the heaviest bands around. Ministry has a first act too I think...

I know they make some good custom stuff. I think mine was a Walmart level guitar though. Apparently it came in this box. "AS SEEN ON TV!"

Fucking score!

I had a neighbor kid bring over a Walmart guitar and it played really nice. Couldn't believe it!

Fuck yeah, I'll play whatever. After very slightly tweaking it, the guitar plays just fine for me. I was all prepared to swap out the stock First Act pickup for another one I have(Squier Pickup that rocks!) but after getting it home and new strings I just love the way it sounds. I did swap it out temporarily while I repotted the stock pickup( I was bored) but put it back in. They both sounded excellent. Then again, my amp is probably the least picky amp in the world. Every speaker, guitar and pickup I've played through it sounds just fine to me. I may be a bit tone deaf though.

Shave off your own forearm contour and you have your very own custom and many across the world will be doing the same just to be you!

Okay, I was bored and this little riff got stuck in my head. Same First Act guitar, same amp settings as two other clips. One left and one right track. Again, I had the gain only on 2 which makes it a little brighter.
