Can anyone give me some insight on the differences bewteen these two pickups in a Les Paul style guitar. I know I should ask Wade and he did tell me to go with the Nasty Nasty over the Detroiter and 2nd Degree BB especially when using high gain amps where the preamp gain is fairly cranked so that might be my obvious option.

I have both. They have an extremely similar eq curve. The Nasty is tighter in response. It's also a little bit hotter and more aggressive (it's not overly aggressive though; both the Detroiter and Nasty have a killer high end that cuts without getting brittle). The Nasty has a bit more string separation under high gain too. When I had my Les Paul I loved the Nasty in there.

Do you have any experience with the 2nd DBB? I know that pickup well. Could you compare the three? Also, do you know what the resistance is of the NN?

Only the 2nd DBB neck, so I'm not much help there. When I asked Wade about the Nasty he compared it to the 2nd DBB & Detroiter. He said it was like the Detroiter, but hotter, tighter, and with more openness/string separation like the 2nd DBB.

I want to say the Nasty was in the low 9's, but when I get home I'll try and remember to get a reading on it & post it; it's hotter than the Detroiter, but not much more.

Frank's spot on. About the same resistance as the Detroiter, but with a little more grunt and growl. Leads are nice, thick and fat...not thin and tinny. Seems like the neck is around 9 and the bridge about 10. I bought 3 sets, 2 are in my LP's and the other is in the box because I am lazy. Wade will highly recommend this PU.

I've got an email to Wade and am waiting on a return reply. The Nasty Nasty may be more my thing than the Detroiter. Do you have any experience with the 2nd DBB? That pickup has been my pickup for a good while now. I'd like something a bit more ballsy though, but not lose that great string separation and clarity the 2nd DBB has...or at least minimize the lose.

I sounds like the Nasty Nasty would be perfect for me!!!
