    New to studio

Hi there I borrowed a Studio from a friend and I found the sounds far superior to other devices. One thing i'm missing is to run amp + stereo FX in the line in. Amp line out -> effect -> R+L line on on Studio. This his in cunjunction with the amp loadbox also. Is it possible to see this...

MCII rhythm channel vs VC (yes sorry, a vs thread)

I'm interested in a VC. Can anyone elaborate on the difference between the rhythm channel on the MCII and a VC with a master volume on the back? Both should have boost function. Is there big enough difference for justify the purchase? Cheerio

    Wizard loops

Do you guys need to link the loop with a patch cable to use the loop as an extra MV? My MCII can do this without a cable, but my MC50 needs a cable. Anyone has an idea why theres a difference? Also my mc2 has a little more noise in the loop that the mc50.. What loop tubes do you use?

Charvel Nitro Aged - You have one? Let's see it.

Nitro Aged Charvels only please... no look alike, home sprayed, etc. etc. This is a threat for strutting these guitars and share thoughts and whatnot. I'll start out. I just bought this baby in Germany from a guy that got it from The Zoo. It's a 2014 Dakota Red Nitro Aged with SD103 and...

New 2014 MCII. How do you guys dial it in? *pics*

Brand new Wizard owner. I had no idea what to expect. MASSIVE is probably the best word to describe it. I'm questioning a little bit how to dial it in. The top end can be a little spiky.. is that cause of the diode clipping in the lead channel? Once the MV is past 6 (insane volumes) the amp...

    Eventide H9

I'm about to trade in my Strymon El Capistan for an Eventide H9. I haven't tried it.. and it's a local "used" trade. Have anyone tried the H9? Whats the opinion. If it's has as good sounding delays as the Strymon, i might swell save myself some pedal board space with the H9.

Stock vintage Marshall appreciation *Update, NAD!*

There's just something about a stock old Marshall i can't resist. Somehow every piece is unique and tells a story. This 1972 50w head is a recent purchase.. it had a few mods, but no holes. So i spend a bit of time sourcing out all the NOS original components I needed, and i put it back to '72...

Got this very unique Wet-Dry-Wet rig yesterday.

So I bought this super old 60's Marshall PA speaker yesterday, with 10" Celestions. Along in the deal I got a little 60's guitar amp (sounds super clean and clear) lunchbox style, complete with nice NOS Philips EL84's and 12ax7's. I got it all for like 230 bucks. I hooked it up today as WDW...

    NAWeek! Marshall 1959RR

Actually I had it for a couple of weeks now... so i'v had time to dig into it. IMHO this amp just sounds great. Very open, and super pick sensitive. not very "modern" sounding per say, but it has that correct bite and mid snarl only a classic Marshall can have, and in spades. The lead tones from...

    Calling the Marshall tweakers.

Can anyone see if this amp has been modded, or there is anything weird about it? It's a '83 2203 JMP.. probably one of the last produced for the Scandinavian marked, are these completely like all other prior 2203 JMP's? I found these resisters under the red tape... Anything else fishy about...

    Hmm, stock JMP 2203

So I snatched up this 1983 JMP 2203..."last year model of the JMP" I havent actually bought it yet, cause the seller was nice enought to let me try it out for a week before purchasing. he wants 1.200usd for it. Anyway... I always though that pedals pushing a 2203 was a bit meh sounding, thats...

Help a noob picking a superstrat

So i'm really into getting myself an oldschool hotrod superstrat. So far i'v narrowed it down to a Charvel San Dimas or a Luxxtone Marchete 22. I want one in cream white, and would prefer a reversed headstock with a maple neck. How does the MIJ Charvels compare to the very very sexy looking...

    Carl Martin PlexiTone single channel

Ok, after having tried just about any marshall like pedal worth mentioning "allot at least, maybe not all." I finally got the CM PT single today.. damn, I tried it up against some wamplers and other marshall in a box pedals in the store. This thing has that REAL haunting marshall midrange that...

    Compressors

Does anyone like to boost or run a slight amount of compression in front of a distorted amp or pedal? I bought a Xotic SP compressor, just to try it out.. and I really liked the fact that you can blend unprocessed signal with the compressed. It's fun and different to play like this.. it's...
