Is Pantera’s Cemetery Gates one of the best songs in three decades

Phil had some vocal range, back then, but Dime was in his pirme

I cry, and cry, that I will never see my heroes.

PS: can anyone confirm that Nathan Gale went to school in Sri Lanka? That kid beat me with a baseballl over his claim that he wrote Pantera’s songs.

I used to know him as Nate Goggin.

Poor kid.

I don't know about that but its up there.
The current 'tribute' band is not playing it live - not sure why.
I wish you could have turned the table on Nathan.
You have a typo in your thread title that is driving me crazy.
RIP DIME - one of the greats

AFAIK he lived most of his life in Ohio.

they were playing it in February

Man, I used to be such a big fan of that band, and I still have a soft spot for their music, particularly the heavier albums, but everytime I hear Rex or Phil open their mouths at interviews... man... I'm so bummed out by the braindead dumbasses they've become. Or they always were, not sure. It seriously makes feel bad that those used to be my heroes when I was younger.

That being said, I also really like The Art of Shredding from that album. And yeah, the classics like Primal, Cowboys, and Domination.

He lived in Ohio & had nothing to do with whoever this Nate Goggin guy was that "beat me with a baseballl" whatever that means. Nathan Gale was a Mentally ill piece of shit & i wish he would taken himself out instead of Dime. I'm in the Minority that i love CFH But i really only like Dime bags tone when he's tuned to D Standard.....The rest of the Time it' to nasally for me & to bright.

Rise is my favorite. Don’t know if it’s the “best” but it touches me in ways…..

The tone rules . Its original and awesome. Nothing bad at all
i am a bit of a tube amp snob and personally swear by 100% tube distortion.
Decline the silver jubilee because of it's diode clipping...
Hate most boosted sounds where you get that extra dirt from the pedal.

But i got to hand it to Dime. The sound really fits the music and it's actually the only solid state sound that i really kind of dig:eek:
But those pickups are part of the reason, me thinks.
