Billy White & John Norum put this out with Don Dokken in 1990.

Just a great album.

There are to many great albums to choose from the 80's but this is a nice one.

White/Norum are KILLING IT on that album wow. Never heard that one. Love Norum though! that snare though......so 80's.. I am guessing that is Mick? Dokken had the WORST sounding drums on albums.

It's Mikkey Dee, actually, when he was between King Diamond and Motorhead.

And yes, there's great playing and tone all over that album.

Brad Gillis' live tone on 'Speak of the Devil'. I realize Ozzy went back and laid down vocal tracks post recording, but the bands sound on those Sabbath tunes and Gillis' tone are simply outstanding! Sad to that SOTD isn't available on ITunes. I actually can't find it available for download anywhere.
Anyways, it fucken rocks hard! Can I get an Amen?
Totally agree! That band/album tore shit up and Gillis' tone was KILLER. He was running a few Boogies (can't recall which) in stereo and had the most wicked growl. Definitely another one of my favorite 80's tones.

Passion and Warfare

Came out in 1990.

Let him slide , the second post of the thread was an album from 1990 and someone picked VHll from 79 then posted the I`m The One isolated track from 78. What the heck I`ll throw in Scorpions Lovedrive then

Haven't posted here in ages!
All have already mentioned many of my favorite albums/tones/players.

I would like to mention Gary Moore's Victims of the Future with Jeff Glixman serving as producer!

I agree with you, I've often said that the 80's didn't end until 91-92;) Porno was definitely on my list as well as Beast From The East(88)... There are so many great ones. Still Whitesnake 87 is just perfect IMO and is STILL my all time fav. guitar tone.

This is my second favorite guitar tone right next to George Lynch on Dokken's Under Lock and Key record. The first two CD's I bought when I switched over from vinyl were Dokken's Beast From The East record and Gary Moore's Victims of the Future.
