I went to my friends house today, a nice and cool air conditioned studio space to get out of this heat.

I brought my new to me vintage ESP Kamikaze 1 and played it through the BE100 deluxe and the BE50 deluxe.

whoa!! But that BE50 just kills!! It was tight and articulate, percussive and defined, and had grind and grit all day long!! I could not dial in the BE100 deluxe to sound like that, not even close actually.

the BE50 was so much fun to play!! The touch sensitivity was great and all the channels were just killer.

I have an SS100 that I sent back to Dave to mod (and these additions made it just astonishing!) a bit and it sent all my other amps packing, I literally stopped playing all of them. But damn, the BE50 gives it a run in the fun to play department.

here is a demo Robert baker did and he gets some killer tones. Great, great amp!

That's interesting that you liked to 50 so much more than the 100.

What did you have Dave do to your SS? Of all the Friedmans that's the one I think I'd like most (having played none of them).

Awesome! Dude. Lot of it is that guitar. Seriously ?
The guitar sounds very, very good. The few times I have had all maple bodies they have always sounded really thick and defined. Just brutal and vicious high gain!! Even with the stock pickup I don’t like much it sounded really good. But, it is really heavy!! And I don’t like the graphics much. I would love to have ESP custom shop build a guitar with similar specs. Have the fretboard be a little thinner, both width and depth. Like the Lynch REH video guitar! That’s the look I would go for.

but, the guitar plays phenomenal and sounds really good. I am just more used to my Suhr Reb which quickly became my favorite guitar.

i didn’t spend as much time with the 100 deluxe. I was having so much fun on the be50 that I just kept going back to that amp. The 100 still sounded totally epic. All Friedman amps just kill in my opinion. I probably could have got the 100 to sound very similar to the 50.

Sold mine. I want one back. It's such a great amp. My first of many Friedmans that came through the door.

You'd like my purple tiger then. It's a custom shop that started out with the full Lynch spec, but they made it out of alder, gave it a 42mm nut & thinner neck, and ebony. :) They also gave it J instead of XJ frets which I'm on the fence about, but hey I'll take it.

Really enjoyed my BE-50 when I had it. Just a great sounding amp.
