Sweet!

The Colossus was my favorite amp. I picked up a Juno and about a year later got hit with some vet bills and had to sell something. I kept the Juno because of the clip modes that aren't on the Colossus, and I figured I wouldn't miss the Colossus because the Juno still has the regular lead modes.

Fast forward another year and I was missing that Colossus pretty badly, so I just put a deposit down for a semi custom Gemini to replace it.

Another killer clip. Sounds great, but IMO the Triple has a more evil, menacing tone.

Sounds kinda grainy, for my tastes, but could just be the recording.

haha definitely possible! I’m definitely not a pro when it comes to mixing. That’s the funny thing about showing an amp off in “ a mix”. It’s only gonna sound as good as I can make it, the amp is probably never the problem haha!

No doubt. The rev F Is much more aggressive in the high end. The Rhodes is more pleasing and “nice” sounding in that area. But I’m sure I can get it nasty!

My Gemini is coming with the Negative Feedback control from the new poweramp they put out, so it should be able to get a more aggressive high end if I want that for certain things. I'm pretty sure Kyle will add that to any existing amp if you ever think you need it.

Sounds killer dude! Would love to play one some day....one of my fav Kemper profiles that I use all the time is of a Rhodes, so trying a real KSR is on the bucket list! Cheers

Gsxrbusa got me on the KSR Gemini trip. Super glad I ordered one early on.
A week after I paid the down,SteveK posted his custom no clean/just gain Rhodes Gemini for sale.
Still angry at myself for not buying it anyway. Wish I knew where that amp is.
If the person that has is wants to trade for my Gemini with a clean channel, let me know.

Hey, on this clip what's the chord that comes in right a 0:42 ?
Trying to place it but there's a dissonance that's making it hard.

Thanks

Oh man, my theory is gonna “try” and come out on this one. The chord is 6th fret A string, 7th fret D string, 10th fret G string, 6th fret be string, and then walks up to a diad on the 8th fret(7th fret D, 10th fret G for the Octive). The song is in drop C, but I’m talking about it from a 440 point of view. The chorus is actually the “true” key signature of the song, which is A flat I believe, theory wise. So basically the chorus is a walk up From a major 4th, major 5th, to the minor 6th ( minor 6th in major key, minor i if viewing from a minor key signature point of view) There’s a few videos on YouTube that explain the progression better than I can. Metal is a different world for me when it comes to key signatures and theory. Now if this was country, I could explain it all day no prob :)

:ROFLMAO: I have zero clue about theory! Was hoping you'd just tab it out. :ROFLMAO:

This?

If yes, it's the disonance between the Eb and A that was getting me.

Check out this web-site. I use it ALL THE TIME!

It goes both ways. You can input the fingering and it tells you what chord, or vice versa

Clips sound killer. I really like the 1960BV clip. I had the pleasure of borrowing a Colossus years ago for a week. I got to play it in my room and with my cabs. So I was really able to know what it's like, and it was an awesome beast for sure.
