QC: New update 1.0.2 as of 9/17

Three really good captures of a KTR are up.

Klon KTR Low Gain (Mid Gain, and Hi Gain)
 
These are nice. Wide variety of gain levels and all sound really good.

If anyone checks these out let me know what amp it reminds you of.

I play mine almost every time I play guitar. I go to one preset for a week or so then get bored or start learning a new song then I switch to another.
 
Two Rock SSS EQ1 (no cab)

Very Fender like clean tone.
I had to goose the level by 14dB to level match.
One of the best cleans I've heard from the QC yet.
 
Rude Gojira No Cab Boost 1

Excellent capture of an EVH 5150III - super crunchy.
 
Not sure if anyone's checking these out but;
Anything I post here is going to be something that needs an IR or guitar cab.

Two pretty killer hi-gain caps.
Both love the Chief DS1 in front.

These aren't captures but the McRocklin presets are pretty nice. I just downloaded them last night and I was pretty happy with all the covered tones.

Also some people's presets... maybe I am missing something but they sound like shit

Are you first deleting the CAB that comes with the preset and replacing it with one of your own favorites?

Doing this up front should help with some of the duds.

Nah. If it already sucks I'm not going to put the effort in to polish it. There are great presets right out the gate.

True. So much great stuff. Sweetwater is releasing Captures of all of their showroom amps.

The ones up now have a mic'd cab baked in. Talked to my SW guy and he's going to suggest they do DI ones too.

Baked cabs or IRs don't work for me since I'm using a guitar cab already.
 
Quick question for all you QC lovers from a kemper guy. My main beef with kemper profiles has always been the fact that the kemper eq controls do not react as you would expect on the original amp.
Did QC figure out how to translate this properly with their captures? I’ve been deciding whether to go with the new fractal fm9 or QC. With kemper you really spend a shit ton of time buying producer packs and having very little room to fine tune these so i would hope QC is a bit different in this sense.
 
I got mine on Saturday. This thing is stupid-easy to use! Not quite as refined as my FM3, but I’ll give it time, as I’m sure as I become more familiar, I’ll be able to find the sweet spots, and I’m thinking 3rd party IRs I typically use will make thing sound better “to my ears”… Might have to capture some of my fave Fractal models too!

It's not the same as a real amp but much more responsive than Kemper in a good way.
 
One thing I should add - this modeler really seems to have the “feel” of an amp. I noticed that right off the bat.
