while I’m always a fan of micing my amps, I recently picked up lasse’s tonality plug-in. I didn’t realize that you could disable everything in it but the cab, and use it as an IR loader. I also didn’t realize that, according to lasse, there are 9600 (!!!) captures in this pack. Every single mouse move on the speaker is an actual IR, not an approximation like other software does: it’s the actual capture in that position. 4 cabinets ( greenback loaded Marshall, Mesa OS, engl, and Diezel V30/k100 combo), plus the best sounding jcm800 emulation I have ever heard bar none, it is flat out amazing.

So for 100 bucks you get 3 amazing amps, including the official driftwood plug-in, and 4 cabs full of 9600 IR captures you can use with your real amps or whatever you want captured by one of the best in the biz: it’s an absolute no brainer to me.

So this is a song i revisited and reamped with two different IR captures for rhythm and leads with my two notes torpedo live and real driftwood purple nightmare amp. Still do not like the two notes load box these days, and I have a driftwood loadbox on the way to make up for its shortcomings, but none the less I enjoy this new mix. Enjoy!

You could have said it was real amp > real cab > real mic and I would have believed it.

Cool stuff as always.

IR’s when done right are every bit as good to me, the load box is the more important part of the equation I think in my opinion. Lasse really nailed this one, this is a no brainer whether you are looking for the best IR’s you can find and/or the best amp emulations around, it’s just that good.

All Lammert clips sound identical. Chuga chuga rinse/repeat.

Agreed! One of the best plug ins to come out in a long time.

Jason all of your demos are insane, there’s no doubt about it you are one of the best around. Did you do any post processing on your stl demo? Would love to see what you do, everything just sounds huge. Also you used to have your presets up on your YouTube page for tonality, any chance of getting those again? Thanks Jason!

Dadgum boi, now you got me all curious. This plugin sounds killer.

It’s the real deal man, 100 percent, all the flexibility I wanted with tonehub combined with the absolute best captures possible to use with real amps. It’s the best IR pack in the world in disguise. And seriously, the jcm800. That thing is on another level. Just download the demo and try it out you’ll see!

Just download the demo and try it out.

If all the plug-in folks let you do this then the guys selling digital models, profiles, and captures for the various platforms
need to figure out a way to do it too imo.

You would think they would be able to. For instance rig manager on the Kemper allows you to “demo” them right there online without actually downloading it on to your Kemper: you would think they would figure out a way to do that and use this as a starting point, I just have no idea how they would do it. It used to be pretty common for “commercial profilers” to put up a few freebies from their packs, not sure if that’s common anymore though.

We have these cloud things now man!

I had his Kemper pack a couple years ago when I was using that full time.
Dude knows what he's doing.
I had his pack too. He had amps that I never expected to like as much that ended up being some of my favorite profiles

Thanks, man! No post processing at all on my Lasse demo. I just used the plug in, that's it. Presets are back up in the YT Description so grab em if ya want!

Bang for the buck you can't beat it. Thanks for sharing this. Between this and the Bogren Digital stuff I can't imagine finding anything better.
