I've had the Dragon a few times, but I end up selling because it has this metallic clank to it that I can't put my finger on.. What else is out there that has the LPF/HPF, or just more adjustability to really fine-tune tightening things up, yet aggressive with some punch and character?? My MXR Custom Badass Modified does a decent job, but a little too gritty. The Buxom Boost is too polite, and the Savage Drive lacks character.

I thought about the Bogner Red, but it may be too "amp in a box", like the BE-OD, and too over the top as a boost.

I'm boosting my Laney GH50L, which is much like an 800, but more gain. My SG has less oomph, due to the lower output pickups, but I do like them. I'd rather look at some different pedals, rather than change pickups...

The MXR M-77 basically is, with more bells and whistles. I'll try my MXR 10-band, or 6-band in the chain tomorrow.
You're probably better off with those compared to the Dragon or any other "amp in a box" pedals, those are mostly for Fender type clean amps anyway.

VFE standout. My favorite pedal. Also the Mud Killer has a filter.
