Someone trying to trade me some stuff for my JVM410. The cab has been offers with . It’s beautiful but I no experience at all . Any one have an advice on these ?

I've tried a few and honestly didn't seem that special to me. They did all have Eminence speakers in it, which I'm not crazy about, but still seemed to me like the Bogner Uberkab and Diezel cabs in the room I tried it in were better to my ears, but hard to say how much was the speakers. Would probably haver also preferred my Fryette Fatbottom and Kerry Wright (my best cab) if compared. Those last 2 mentioned are what I use most often these days

There's no model name. It's just a very plain looking black 412 with his signature on the inside. It's rear loaded, I think more Marshall-y cab, so different design than my Ubercab, Diezel or Fryette. Better overall sounding cab than those imo, but not doesn't do what those front loaded ones do by nature, so they all have their place. They were very expensive cabs (~$4000 new) with a waitlist and he died last year I think, so won't be easy to come by. I don't honestly think they should be as pricy as they are, but they still sound overall better than the other stuff I've had so far

interesting. I been wanted something different as a cab . Thanks for the info

I think Apex1Rg7X has one? I could be misremembering.

I am going to order a couple sets of Omega speakers when they are available and load them into some mesa metal grill cabs I have. Just to mix it up. I do have a granophyre and have to say I really love that head.

What’s that head sound close to ? I’ve yet to hear in person . I sold vh4 so I’m looking around again

So, it’s definitely high gain and comes across as various shades of pissed off all the time. It has fantastic note definition for a high gain head and is super easy to dial in. It also is really open for how much gain it has. Raw as hell. A really good blend of saturated and dry. A little more wet than some of my other stuff but not dripping in it. I would say it kind of reminds me of a 5150 with aspects of a Marshall and SLO. I have one they did in a custom headshell with a walnut faceplate. I’ve been offered 5k for it (back when they had a transformer shortage) and didn’t consider selling it. If that says how much I enjoy it haha.

They have it on their Instagram page:

We've got one in the shop loaded with the Mick Thomson speakers and the Omega Speakers. They sound pretty cool, but not my favorite. They have a nice bass response and can get a good sludge or hard rock sound. It's definitely a new and interesting sound to go against the V30 thing, just takes a different approach to dialing in. Not as shrill or harsh as V30's usually sound, but also it doesn't cut as much. For a dude like me who plays straight melodic death metal, I prefer a Mesa with Black Shadows.

Here's a Dual Rec Rev G with a 33 Clone with a Baritone plugged into an Omega 4x12:

@Apex1Rg7X has a 212 Omega. Not a 412… don’t embarrass him with that weak shit! ?

Thanks for all the info guys . I think I’m good on getting the omega cab . Thanks for the help

Please let us know how you like it and which speakers. It’s very possible I just didn’t care for the speakers in the ones I tried

Yeah I “only” have the 212 but it’s a killer cab. Easily the best cab I’ve owned over the years. VM12-65/DV-77 speakers sound fantastic with any amp I’ve used through it so far.

4 thousand dollars for a box?
I could build my son a KILLER half-pipe
mini-ramp with metal over the plywood...
YOU!,
could build a badass bionic 4X12 for 4 thousand dollars.
Are there multiple 4X12's secretly engineered
a telescoping 4X12 inside another 4X12 all the
way steppin down to a 1X12 inside that square box?
Does it have Pre-Rola to Your Mama speakers in
there or something?...Eminence?
Get the f*** out here man, COME ON!
Isn't that company KSR in the backround?
If YOU send me 4 thousand dollars, I'll build you something MEANER & CLEANER.
I think I've cracked the boutique code here...
Now I know why "they" do it!!

I didn’t know they got that high. I’m glad I got mine when I did. I love them and agree they’re my overall favorite, but like you I also have a front load because the designs each bring something to the table the other doesn’t.

Yes exactly. I was able to buy mine used for half that price. It’s a great cab

I would love one of those mills cabs lol
I love mine. But it is moreso how well it is built, and less sonic quality. It sounds great, but I had a randall XL that probably sounded as good that was $150 loaded. I don't know if there is magic in the baffle, but it is a good cab. I heard all kinds of things about how well they project and stuff. I think it is a really big cab that can hold down the floor really well.
