Heading to puta Cana tomorrow with the wife. Staying at the hard Rock for my 50th (next Tuesday).

They offer FREE rental of Fender Guitars and mustang Amps for free. They have a decent list of various strats in dif configs, jaguars, etc.

Anyone ever get one? They also have sign ups to jam with other guests. Since hotel is sold out this weekend (and it's HUGE) figure there will be some people to jam with.

And yes, fuckers, we will be dropping the Echord on my 50th and seeing what shenanigans we can get into there :devilish:

Ha! I'm checking into the same hotel this weekend. Never been there before (the hotel, not the resort).
You're checking into the hard Rock in Punta Cana this weekend too?

Oh shit - Rig-Talk jam goin down at the Hard Rock!!!

Yes, I’ve rented a H/S/S strat and a Fender modeling amp before at the Orlando FL location. Very cool (after you tune the guitar).

Interesting idea- they list it on their website as available at all Hard Rock hotels.

There's a cool business model floating in here somewhere to expand on the jamming with other guests idea, maybe sessions of (probably B or C list) famous guitarists for a fee. Or even unknown studio guys for more organized lessons/jams. Send the family off to local theme park while you get to spend an hour jamming with a pro. I'm sure Gene Simmons will offer this at Kiss themed hotel for sure, with summer help at GC in Ace makeup playing the part of Tommy Thayer.

I stayed there years ago and had no idea I could borrow a guitar. Hah. I was probably far too drunk to be near one anyway.

I go to Orlando a lot , I’ll have to try this . Last time my car broke down and they put in me in a crack head motel . Lol not fun

I've done it before just to keep the chops up. It's not gonna be like the guitars at home but it will serve the purpose. I just played it unplugged and it's a cool option to have when you stay there.

I had a long business stay in FL once and brought an EVH Wolfgang and Vox pocket amp with me, as I had a gig coming up just after getting back home. I had to put in some hours while there. Anything would have done and I'd love to not have to check a guitar and deal with all that BS. I bought another Wolf Std. to keep at my folks' house for when I visit. But I'd totally favor hotels that rent some gear when not at home or my folks' house.

Wow, that sounds like an amazing way to celebrate your 50th birthday! I've never rented a guitar from a hotel before, but the idea of jamming with other guests sounds really fun. It's great that the Hard Rock is offering this service for free, and they have a good selection of guitars too. I hope you have a great time playing and meeting other musicians. And enjoy your time in Punta Cana - it's a beautiful place! If you're looking for hotels near qpac, several options are available, including the Swiss-Belhotel South Bank and the Mantra South Bank Brisbane. Have a great trip!

I wonder how much blow they have to wipe off the ones they rent out down here in Ft Lauderdale.

My buddy just went there a month ago or so. He cannot play a lick but he still had them bring a guitar and amp into his room so he could make noise. He is kinda crazy ha.
