So, some of you guys may already know that the Mezzabarba stuff quickly jumped to the top of my list when I got to try them last year. I ended up buying both demo units they sent to me because I was just floored by them.
Last month, I finally got to track with the Trinity for my band Human Animal's new EP. Couldn't be happier with the results, and we literally spent about 5 minutes dialing tones and mixing mics to get the tones I was happy with. The other side of the recording is a Rev E dual Rectifier and the amps mesh very well, IMO
On top of that, I'm doing a video for a microphone company and decided to track a song using the mic the sent me on guitars, drum overheads and mix it in with bass. I literally threw the mic on the v30 and Redback in my Mezzabarba 412 with the Trinity on channel 3 not having any idea how things would sound. I literally didn't have to move the mic to get the tones that ended up on the track. It sounded great right out of the gate, and prompted me to start this appreciation thread, haha.
I recorded the live drums, bass and guitar for the track below. This is my first attempt at not only tracking all 4 instruments but mixing them too, so it's definitely not polished or pro level, but again, super happy with the guitar tones from the Mezz!
