When Tool Was Great

I saw them twice last year, Vegas and Louisville. Both great shows but the treble/sibilance from the hi-hats was not pleasing...

I like Tool better for sure.

Plus, I'd rather have a Tool than a Perfect Circle.

Not a big fan of Tool, but I will say I think I was the first one in my area(when I was in high school) that owned Opiate. I now have it on vinyl...and that's the only Tool I own. I remember buying it on cassette, went into Face the Music in Rochester MN, didn't know what to get. Asked a worker if any new good metal has come out. He recommended that. Good recommendation cuz I loved it. It was raw, heavy and new. They blew up after that when I was in college. I did own Undertow for a bit, Liked "Prison Sex" but "Sober" was just on constant repeat on MTV. Drove me nuts. So that's when I kinda fell off. One of my buddies text me from MN last year as he got kicked out of a Tool concert for taking a picture. He was like "Fuck off Maynard!" haha He was pissed.

I’ve tried numerous times to get into tool, most recently when their last album came out I went back and listened to all their albums again but they just don’t do it for me
