So I follow George on Instagram because it is interesting to see his gear or guitar builds but I have to say..are his 6k guitars essentially priced that high because he puts them together with his own hands? Would you guys drop 6k on this? I'm guessing no.

As much as I love Lynchs playing and his esp guitars look so cool.
He has always been cool when I have talked with him.
However inho he is a whore for the dollar.
Endorsements, money, money , money.
I can't see dropping that kind of coin on any guitar ?
I guess a few of mine on paper are worth a fair amount ?
I certainly have never paid close to that for a guitar .it

I saw this on Instagram too this morning. It looks like a janky thrown together guitar using loads of high end bits. The premium is insane.

That's my take too.. doesn't even say whether or not it is a quality trem whenever he does vintage trem. Some of the guitars are really cool, others totally miss the mark. At least he treats his creations like art work with no two ever really being the same but the premium because he has touched them is ridiculous. Feels like a 4k fee for a "certificate" with his name on it. I wonder how many actually sell for him to keep on making them.

while at GIT in ‘95 the ESP Custom shop was on Sunset Blvd. A classmate from Germany took his carved skull guitar down there and had them make him a reg superstrat with the same neck profile etc…glow in the dark paint. He got it right as we were getting done with classes. It was $5k back then. He must be going off those custom shop prices. He obviously has the customer base so might as well take the $$$.

$5k in 1995???? That's nearly $10k in today's money!

The body , neck and all the parts on that guitar would most likely cost no more than $1200.00 . A top shelf routed northern ash body can be had for under $200.00 . What you're paying for is the Lynch name and his time putting it together and finishing it . That's not worth an extra 4K to me .

I particularly love the two knobs that do nothing telling you it was just a random body he had lying around... love George but would not pay $6k for that

That is pretty hilarious. I guess an $1100 partscaster will make me sound like God if GL put it together.

He says he built the body from scratch, but added knobs that don't do anything for some reason? Lmao I think he's full of shit

I love how he said “this is #666, but there is no sequence to the numbers.” Lol. That’s stupid. I mean, the titanium saddles can get spendy, neck looks decent, but that’s hefty.

Well, it appears somebody did. Some waterhead with disposable income..

I laughed at that too.. I was thinking, why not plug em, sand em and prime/paint over them?

You sure he said titanium saddles and not just titanium inserts? Those are only like $35.
