How do i run two stereo pedals with a line of mono pedals?

I setup my Keeley Halo the other day and had the mono out to the input of my Friedman and stereo out to the input of my 5150-III. Sounded glorious.

Today I tried to run my Keeley Hydra, which also has stereo installed and outs, into the Halo pedal and was struggling to get a sound. Is there a certain way it must be setup in order to work correctly?

I was running the line of mono pedals into one jack, and then two plugs out to Halo pedal and two plugs out to the amps. Am I doing something obviously wrong?

Did you try running the Hydra after the Halo?

Seems like that would be the optimal order anyway

No bur funny you should say that. I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure I am doing something lame like forgetting to plug in the guitar. Lol

Any insight from anyone? I'm still having issues. It is like one side doesn't come thru.

My guess is a bad cable... Or you plugged into one of the upper jacks on the output side by mistake¿

I'd Run through mono effects chain, into "mono/l" input side of halo, then from "mono/l" output of halo to "mono/l" input of hydra. Then "r" out on the halo to "r in" on hydra, then "mono out" to one amp and "stereo out" to other amp.

If one side is working and one not, try different cables on not working side.

I may have run two cables out of stereo out and mono out of one pedal into stereo in and mono in of another. I thought I had to do that for some reason.

Well u want two cables from the first pedal to the second. First things first though, to get signal from both outputs of the first pedal, you plug into the "mono/l " input jack of the first pedal. If you plugged into the "r" input jack of the first pedal you would only get sound on one side.

Then you plug both outputs jacks of the first pedal into the same corresponding input jacks of the second pedal. Then out to amps.

For some reason the output sides of the two pedals have different labels, halo says "r" but hydra says "stereo".but that is the only strange thing about them I can tell... Doesn't look like you have to enable stereo operation. The hydra has a trem sync and wet dry controls that might be affects stereo operation of each effect, perhaps play with those...

Maybe try a Boss pedal of some type, off, as a buffer? Put it before, after the pedals to experiment a little? Not sure it would work but might be worth trying.

Yeah I'm thinking that may be it. Even Robert jokes that the Hydra is a lot, with tons of features that are like three steps. Lol
