It's interesting to see people correlate progressive with progress these days. The left has been hijacked by extremist and fringe elements that demand assimilation or misery will ensue. Do unto others and live and let live used to be the meaning of liberalism. They've now become the party of fascism and blindly accuse others en masse of it. It's pathetic and sad that people fall in line with their nazi tactics and easily refutable propaganda simply out of fear. No reasonable human believes nearly anything they do is progressive, anymore. This is no revolution of progress, it's pit people against each other to take their minds off of the real and only big problem we have as a society; the Federal Government.
A government that lies, steals, cheats, propagates, destroys lives, rinse and repeat. The same ones who have the audacity to accuse others of literally anything they can in order to save face. They aren't on anyone's team but theirs. But yeah let's root for people who do nothing but steal, divide, and conquer. A relic of times where representatives were needed not due to individual accountability, but due to geography. Modern communication methods make that last one no longer an issue. The government is bloated, disgusting, and criminal on every single level that it means. All sides of it. The right's weakness and constant defensive stance against gaslighting has made them just as useless and dangerous to us.
Government reformation is long passed due. It's interesting that they never take any approaches to this whether in limiting terms, insider trading, or accountability through immunity reforms. It's a game of pitting society against itself, causing problems and then offering solutions that more often than not include pitting society against itself, but always include spending more. Given history, I find it odd that 100% of politicians, judges, and unelected agency heads walk freely among us instead of rotting in solitary where they most certainly belong until their final breaths. The disgusting society we have become allows for it to continue. The rabid partisan nature of every subject is absolute lunacy and bears no place in a civil modern world.

Absolutely. Just read the first paragraph you posted above. Me, my entire immediate family, and a lot of friends and co-workers
are democrats/liberals. But none of us are anything like you describe. That's the caricature that's been created by one side while
the other sides paints every Maga as an in-bred hillbilly.
People's gullibility is the biggest problem. WAY too many lemmings on both sides willing to be spoon fed their ideologies
and prejudices. What ever happened to common sense and thinking for yourself?

My name is Lisa.I was referring to politicians and propagated media, but yes I see how that came across. I also consider myself a liberal, but I will absolutely never vote for anyone who thinks in terms of equity over equality or those who coin women and minorities as incapable of succeeding without their help. It's a slap in the face to actual progress that had been made. I'm certainly not okay with the lack of representation of societies real needs while having paid taxes in the high six figures over my life. I wonder how people would feel if politicians or the media said Jew instead of MAGA. You think people would still be on board?

Equality ethics is a HUGE factor for me when judging evil vs less evil.
