In my opinion he doesn't come across as Christian or a person of faith.
More like someone who read and memorized a lot of the bible and likes using it to talk down to people he just meets.

Without wasting everyone's time, a Judaistic cult was mainstreamed by Constantine and suppressed all other teachings in the Dark Ages across Europe, leading to the spread of Catholicism until the Protestant Reformation and migration of the same to America, before it was instituted into education and commercialised.

Your religion is based on the history, geography and politics of where you live.

To have entitled a thread "How did you get saved" is ignorant, arrogant and is so typical of the zealous fanaticism that is endemic and curiously particular to the Abrahamic religions.

Try to think of your religion as you'd think about your dick - It's great for you that you've got one, but please don't wave it around because no one else really cares about it.

No. It’s more than that. He is born again Christian. He needs his religion as an anchor. The stronger the “religious belief” of a born again, typically the stronger their fear that whatever their trauma or addiction is might get a firm grasp over them again.

I believe that he believes he 100% needs to hold his beliefs as strongly as he does, or he will spiral out of control. That’s the issue with many born agains. Their belief is in the need to distract themselves and save themselves from themselves, more than the need to obey God and scripture.
