Bogner/Wizard/Death/iPhone

New Bogner Uber Ultra is pretty sick.

In the room sounds infinitely better, but iphone is all I have, so there you go. Uber lacks the clarity of the Wizard and a little bit of compression, but they occupy the same lane. Both are killer. The Uber is el34 100w while the Wizard is KT66 120w. Death riffs as always...

 
They both sound badass. I can hear the difference in clarity. They wizard sounds louder.
 
Maybe you just need to scoop the mids a bit on the Uber?

Should the UU stay in ya stable ? Would a Wizard 2019 MTL kt88 slays the UU ?
 
If you want more clarity from the UU, try it in channel 1 Uber mode with the Bright switch on. Channel 2 is a good bit darker and less articulate than Channel 1, even with the Ch2 Bright switch on and the Metamorph on Tight and turned to high effectiveness (counter clockwise).

I’ve only had it a day, so it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Lol isuppose I could return it to Sweetwater, but that won’t happen.

Wizards will always be my favorite, though this is the best Uberschall I’ve played.

Are you referring to the ’19 KT88 MTL on reverb, if so, that is my old amp that I sold to @Blackened here on RT… get with him if you are interested. That amp is killer. There’s videos of it on my YT channel . I only sold because I also have a ‘22 MTL mk2 KT150.

yup i just checked out that two months old MTL KT88 but that was the MK2 !! i cant imagine how much you went on tone chasing !! i start to believe that i should get Fryette and Wizards.... yup that KT150 MTL has been there for quite sometime i would really like to do it but ouch it will end me up on a bread and butter diet for months lol

this is the ‘19 mk1 that’s on reverb (Original headshell… I swapped to the Vader before I sold it)


 
Thanks for the link @mhenson42 .... the Wizard just crushes the Fryette UL lol.... but i like the UL darker mids... the MTL is brighter and its obvious but not sure if what was the settings like on the presence and treble and lead bright? can the KT150 tune to the same dark mid ie the Fryette?

yes. I run the Presence, treble and bright pretty high on my Wizards. Turn them down and it darkens up

..... this mk2 is way way better chug like nobody ! kinda scoop on the mids goodness yet meaty !! your a chug monster mate !!

Just curious. Since you have several Wizard amps which models do what style of music best
