I'm looking for suggestions for gigging shoes that are very comfortable as we do long shows and I have sciatica, any recommendations? I came across this video, have to get to bed as I have to be up early for work but will watch later, any suggestions or help much appreciated!!

Guy above is correct.. he missed one:
On cloud
HOKA
MBT

The MBT almost look like special needs feet but my back stopped hurting after I wore them for a few days. I think the key is to get the shoe that works for you. Flat feet don’t need arch. High arch is terrible with Vans or Chuck Taylors. The list will get longer as the shoe companies see that people are really interested in feeling good not just looking good like as with Ace Frehley boots.

used to always be cowboy boots....4 hour gigs in boots and then a loadout combined with age ended that lol. Converse with an insole or some other type of comfortable cool looking sneakers for me.

I have a pair of the ON clouds. Love them. But, if you use pedals or switching I will caution you to pay attention to the depth of the treads on the shoe you choose. I struggled hitting the switches.

+1 for Adidas. I have Adidas Samoas, very comfy
Absolutely, especially for most modern concrete style stages

They just seem really well suited for the purpose, both comfortable and stylish

Plus, the treads are relatively fine, so it doesn't interfere with pedalboard operation

Def a running shoe of some sort- the bright and goofier, the better. We're a high energy party band so that fits.

On Cloud and Hoka are my two favorites, but have Saucony and Brooks as well that are really comfortable for those 4 hour gigs.

This has to be one of the gayest threads ever started .......

That being said, I like to wear authentic dutch wooden clogs.
I wear two dildo-inspired shoes that say "Don't Walk, Cock!" on the side...

All joking aside, I wear Vans and Chucks a lot but also have two pairs of Doc Martens.

Don’t forget about a nice anti-fatigue mat and a fan. The best investments I’ve ever made for playing live. #old

I played a set in fuzzy bear slippers once. Super comfy. The whole set, I kept saying how awesome it was to be able to play in my bear feet.

man I wear Vans, Chucks, and boots. I can stand on these for two hours easily. I have had three back operations since 2017. Vans come in first place.
