Just because Muslims weren’t in the initial founding of America doesn’t mean that the founding fathers ONLY intended their new land to be Christian only. They escaped religious persecution in Europe, you actually think they set out to establish a society that pandered only to Christians ? That would be pretty short sighted, don’t you think ? If that’s the case then all their other actions should be called into question. Let’s start with the right to bear arms.

Sure… another day another mass shooting… how’s that working out for you ? Enjoy Sharia Law then mate

Exactly. Nice that you think 22+ Americans being killed in Lewiston Maine is funny. The shooter is still on the loose so that number might go higher. How very christian of you.

No I think you are funny. Your example of your proud right to bear arms just shows how “special” your reasoning is. Only idiots don’t learn from their repeated mistakes. Life is tough… if you are stupid it’s even tougher - John Wayne. Enjoy your guns! Enjoy anything goes! Keep going!

Let’s examine “learning from mistakes”. You’re Australian right ? When was your last mass shooting ? How many were killed ? How did Australia stop mass shootings ? Oh right…

I can’t remember the last mass shooting here. It’s not a common thing. Question 2. By not Having an ancient flawed clause in our constitution thereby allowing sensible regulation as required.

So we agree the clause is flawed and should be changed ?

I think the decline of society has a lot to do with abandoning a common mindset and Christianity did used to provide a benchmark and a set of norms that I think is lacking now. When everyone thinks that their own way is fine and anything goes you get moral decay and societal disintegration. No one likes hearing that because no one wants to admit their own way is wrong. Some people think all sorts of terrible things are just fine.

Why is morality tied to religion ??? People don’t know right from wrong ? Atheists cant be moral people ? The law of the land says there is no correlation. Separation of church and state.

Or reinterpreted at least. I acknowledge that the horse has bolted now so it‘ll take a long while to fix but something has to change at some point.
So if you agree that their thinking about guns was flawed, why would you think that they fled religious persecution only to start a new society based on-religious persecution ?

I don’t know if it was flawed when they wrote it but things are different now. I don’t think the US needs an armed citizens militia with modern military guns. i Have friends in the US with literally arsenals in their house. I’m not talking about a bolt action rifle or a simple shotgun either.

It’s not a fetish, it’s a right. How many guitars or amps do you own? Same thing. I just don’t like other people who think they’re entitled to make decisions for me. (Politicians)If more people exercised their rights that shit head in Maine wouldn’t have gotten very far.

I never understood the word "derp" - it's too Millennial for me...

Anyway I don't know what you have against Christian Nationalists. Your country was founded on their values even if some of your founding fathers weren't actually Christians. These days you all think you know better. How's that working out for your society? lol

The Founders NEVER established a theocracy, which is what the christian nationalists want to do.

I’m not looking to start a 2A discussion or anything, but comparing collecting guns to collecting guitars and amps, makes the verbiage and meaning of 2A fairly inconsequential as to why you are actually owning guns.
