Slash Leaves Marshall

That is a big surprise. I can’t help but feel like Marshall has fucked themselves with their current product line and price/quality ratio. Especially in the States, there’s no compelling reason to spend the money on a new Marshall when a number of Marshall-inspired brands/builders are doing it better.

It's beyond me why they wouldn't do everything they could to keep that guy. Make the dude whatever amp he wants lol.

The JJ100 has been out for several years now, close to 10 I believe.

i thought the smaller one came out more recently. either way, guitarist seem to be the only line of work you can "endorse" or even have signature gear that you never are seen playing lol. i dont think id be too thrilled if i was friedman and heres jerry rocking a run of the mill marshall

Slash Les Paul and Marshall will always be it . And they will have a reunion so this is a cash grab until the next crash grab . Whoever offers the most $ at the time wins . Definitely interesting though

i cant imagine being worth hundreds of millions of dollars like im sure slash is and still playing amps based off who is paying the most. i wouldnt be surprised if he signed some 30 year deal or something and it just ran out and now he can play whatever

Seems pretty silly (for Magnatone) if Magnatone is shelling out big money to pay Slash for an endorsement when it's hard to see many people really getting excited for this.

But good for Slash for getting paid. Without or without Slash officially on the roster, Marshall will still have no problem selling the 2555 and would have no problem selling an SIR modded 2203 if they'd get off their ass and actually do something like that.

These guys have lawyers and accountants thst oush them to get bigger deals . They don’t just make them money anymore. They have a giant team wanting $ for themselves too

Depends on the guy I bet . But imo it’s either way . I’m shocked hes do it . The magnatones are so clean at full gain . I’ll miss his metal tones . I notice he is way cleaner on riffs now . So getting old does that

Can't disagree. The Studio series amps have been a big hit, and, let's face it, the JCM 800 still is the holy grail to many, as is the Silver Jubilee. BUT, how long are they going to milk the JVM as their "flagship"? That's the part that is pathetic. When will they come up with something NEW, in the higher gain department?

I just put Apetite on for the first time in many years.. I don’t know I can put any other rock album ahead of it. Maybe Zep 4 and that’s about it

Except for Ed, he just kept adding more gain. Like gravy size amounts of gain lol.
