It's a good point, but theory is still a theory, meaning science is never "Settled." And scientific theories are always subject to revision and rejection, like Newton's law of gravitation. Furthermore, there always remains a degree of subjectivity in how much credence any given scientist gives to a particular theory.

Theories/hypothesis are best guesses using the information available. This means they are in a state of constant flux. So your "truth" is forced to change when new evidence is presented so the point of subscribing to what is currently fashionable is what? It matters not if I believe it or disbelieve it. It changes nothing.
 
What is popular these days is to try to support (or force) a given moral view and associated political action according to "Science". But even if for example climate change or viruses or whatever conclusively showed pending disaster, how to deal with the threat is still a political question. What the progressives would like to do is change our "democracy" into a technocracy were all political decisions are made by the retarded "expert" class.

Well put. This is why I often just reject "science" outright. Only acceptable science is allowed. Studies and reports that conflict with official narratives are not welcome. It's really hurt our society.

Right, as new data comes in, science welcomes it, and if it changes anything the theory/models will be updated to reflect it.

A very stark difference from Religion, which refuses to update. It's stance is "If we find evidence that flies in the face of religious text, then it's Satan trying to trick us. Ignore it, the religious text is the infallible word of God" :ROFLMAO:

A god that can be proven or disproven through human means like science is no god at all. To me it is self evident. Every creation has a creator. If you like science then you must also appreciate statistics and our world that supports advanced life is a statistical anomaly. Most planets do not support life at all per science. They make a big deal when they supposedly find water or mold someplace.

It’s hopeless bro. When he says “science” he doesn’t mean science. Everything is a political narrative to him.
Ask him about the covid vax and he will lecture you on MRNA and heart disease, yet showing that the fucking earth is round?? Well There’s nothing in this round earth that can convince him of that.

Yeah but then you get guys who act like wiping your ass is somehow science to. That tells me they have made it their religion. They are like orthodox jews, pre-tearing the toilet paper before friday sundown so they don't violate the shabbat when they take a dump after dinner. At some point it's neurosis.

That's not entirely true space boy. Yes, scientists aren't above bias or politics, and studies and statistics can be manipulated or fabricated. I don't believe in a flat earth. I'm agnostic.
